Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Civil Engineer to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Lombard, IL. You will create site plans with AutoCAD Civil 3D, perform grading analyses, and support permitting and construction activities.

Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, utility calculations, and storm water reports; coordinating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams; attending meetings with clients and public authorities; and assisting the project managers with daily

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years of Experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
• Prepares and computes due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
• Assists in production of final construction drawings.
• Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
• Assists project managers as requested.
• Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Attends client and public meetings—days or evenings.
• Participates in business development efforts as requested.
