Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to support our federal team in a hybrid capacity at either Arlington or Boston offices. Requirements include a Bachelors in Civil Engineering, PE licensure, and at least 8 years of Civil Works experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• Strong knowledge of civil site design and infrastructure, including grading, utilities, drainage, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead project engineer for specific tasks within large, complex projects.
• Act as Engineer of Record on projects within area of expertise.
• Plan and execute work independently with limited supervision.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams and project managers.
• Research, interpret, and implement regulatory code requirements and standards.
• Prepare engineering assessments, plans, specs, calculations, and design reports.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Travel to project sites for observations, meetings, and presentations when required.
