Job summary

Fisher Associates is seeking an Energy Project Engineer – Civil in Rochester, NY. You will lead civil design for utility and renewable energy projects including pipelines, transmission lines, solar and wind facilities, substations, and energy storage.

You will mentor junior engineers and support permitting, design, and construction activities. Responsibilities include delivering design plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations while meeting

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or environmental field.
• 10–15 years of civil engineering experience, preferably utility/renewable energy design.
• Licensed PE or ability to obtain it.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with linear utility corridor projects.
• Familiarity with NYS SEQR, DOT permitting, and local zoning.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering technical design tasks for utility and renewable energy projects.
• Develop design plans, drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support during construction with site visits and reviews.
• Coordinate tasks with project scope, schedule, and budget; support project managers.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control across projects.
