Job summary

The City of Cincinnati’s Department of Transportation and Engineering is seeking an Engineer to lead design, investigation and construction of civil projects including streets, bridges, mechanical systems, and utilities within the city.

The role requires Ohio PE licensure or eligibility, robust project and contract management skills, and coordination with FHWA, architects, planners, inspectors, and other city departments to deliver projects from bid through warranty.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio or eligible for reciprocity.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong project management, plan review, and contract oversight.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
