Job summary

NEW Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer to support NRCS under the ACES program, providing engineering services for soil and water conservation projects across Holden and Amherst, MA.

The role is part-time (16 hours/week) with a wage of $60.00 per hour. Benefits include paid health insurance, vacation, sick leave, and federal holidays; travel to field sites is required. This opportunity is temporary and does not constitute federal employment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel.
• Adobe Acrobat proficiency."

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering technical assistance for NRCS projects across planning, design, construction and inspection.
• Support multiple locations: Holden, MA (70%), Amherst, MA (30%).
• Review and draft technical resources and policies under supervision of State Conservation Engineer.
• Mentor staff on engineering procedures of varying complexity.
