Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Hawaii PE license or eligible to obtain within a timeframe.
• 8–10+ years of civil engineering design experience across site, roadway, utility, or infrastructure.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design across SSFM’s portfolio with QA/QC.
• Represent SSFM during Charrettes and guide interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform analyses, feasibility studies, and preliminary calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with planners, architects, PMs.
• Ensure design complies with codes and Hawaii permitting standards.
• Contribute to scoping, scheduling, and client communications.
• Champion culturally aligned, sustainable design approaches.
