Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer in Reston, Virginia to support mission-focused facility analysis and characterization in denied-access environments. You will reconstruct layouts and workflows for complex above-ground and subterranean facilities.

The role emphasizes MEP systems knowledge, vulnerability assessments, and 3D modeling to support national security objectives within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience in facility analysis, infrastructure vulnerability assessments, and structural engineering.
• Industrial & facility focus on chemical, nuclear, or biological processes.
• MEP systems knowledge including containment, filtration, and backup power.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification; military or defense experience.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer and characterize complex industrial processes and facility layouts.
• Evaluate underground and hardened facilities for design and survivability.
• Create 3D models using CAD and simulation tools for facilities and networks.
• Identify weaknesses and resilience gaps in critical infrastructure.
• Assess facility support systems and operational workflows (HVAC, power, structure).
• Prepare engineering assessments and present findings to government stakeholders.
