BREC, a Stratus Team company, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our office in Wilkesboro, NC, who specializes in providing solutions for civil and environmental projects in multiple markets.

Job Duties

1. Manage project design including technical quality, people, process, cost, and schedule.
2. Collaborate with engineering/architecture disciplines on complex projects.
3. Supervise and/or prepare design documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
4. Conduct detailed design engineering and QA/QC checks.
5. Prepare studies and reports.
6. Perform site investigations and construction administration.
7. Identify and manage client deliverables and expectations.
8. Handle permitting and coordinate with federal, state, and local municipalities.
9. Communicate professionally with clients, sub-consultants, and office staff.

Required Qualifications

• 8-15 years of engineering consulting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• PE license required.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, or equivalent hydrology software.
• Project experience with residential and commercial development, site layout, grading and drainage, hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater/water quality, water and sewer, and permitting.
