The County of Yuba is recruiting for the Senior Civil Engineer position in the Public Works Division of the Community Development and Services Agency. Under limited supervision, this role involves preparing civil design plans for Public Works projects, conducting research, performing field inspections, analyzing reports and geological data, and procuring permits. The incumbent acts as a resource for staff, contractors, consultants, other agencies, and the public, providing lead direction and technical assistance. Candidates must be fully qualified as a Professional Engineer in California. This is a master level position reporting directly to the Principal Engineer.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of professional engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Additional civil engineering experience in a public agency, including some leadership experience.

Licenses & Certification:

• Valid Civil Engineer registration in California.
• Ability to obtain a California Class C driver's license within ten days of employment and maintain it throughout employment.

Salary Range: $8,474 - $11,017 per month.
