KAL Architects, Inc. in Irvine, CA seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with CA licensure and 7+ years of consulting experience to lead site investigations, prepare designs for civil systems and utilities, and coordinate with architects and other engineers on a fully integrated package.

Responsibilities include preparation of calculations, specifications, requisitions, bid analyses, and construction administration support. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 7 years of consulting experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• Professional Civil Engineer licensure in California.
• Experience with Civil 3D / CADD / PCASE.
• Background with Public Projects including the Federal Government / Military.
• Experience with airfield pavement and road design.
• Some travel to client sites for investigations and meetings.

Responsabilités

• Perform site investigations and prepare calculations / drawings / design specifications detailing civil layout and materials for site utilities (gas, water, sewer, etc.).
• Prepare required calculations, specifications, requisitions, and bid analyses for materials on the drawings.
• Coordinate with architect, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers to provide a fully coordinated design package.
• Review calculations, drawings and specifications to provide meaningful comments and support Construction Administration Services.

Senior Civil Engineer will perform site investigations, prepare calculations / drawings / design specifications detailing the layout and materials for all civil requirements / systems including site utility requirements such as natural gas, water, sewer, etc.

Senior Civil Engineer will prepare required calculations for systems, prepare specifications, requisitions, and bid analysis / purchase orders for the materials covered on the drawings.

Senior Civil Engineer will coordinate and provide input with the architect, structural engineer, electrical engineer, and mechanical engineer to provide a fully coordinated design package.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an American Board of Engineering Technology Accredited Engineering College / University

Minimum of 7 years of consulting experience with a civil engineering design firm

Professional Civil Engineer licensure in California

Experience with Civil 3D / CADD / PCASE / Civil engineering software

Background with Public Projects including the Federal Government / Military

Experience with airfield pavement and road design

Some travel to client sites for investigations and meetings

Additional Skills Required:

Ability to perform constructability review of drawings

Experience coordinating with consultants & contractors

On-site field experience

Ability to review calculations, drawings, and specification to provide meaningful comments

Good verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Construction Administration Services
