Job summary

KAL Architects is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer in California to work under a Senior Civil Engineer, preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications for civil designs.

The role involves drawing details, material take-offs, field investigations, and coordination with geotechnical engineers, surveyors, and structural engineers; requires a BS in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of consulting experience; some travel to client sites is required. No H1-B sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of consulting experience.
• Experience with Civil 3D/CADD software.

Job description

Junior Civil Engineer will work under the direction of a Senior Civil Engineer to prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Junior Civil Engineer will perform drawing details, material take offs, and field investigations as required to develop and complete civil designs.

Junior Civil Engineer will coordinate with other trades / disciplines such as geotechnical engineers, topographical surveyors, structural engineers, and others to work on multidisciplinary designs.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an American Board of Engineering Technology Accredited Engineering College / University

Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience with a civil engineering design firm

Experience with Civil 3D / CADD / Civil engineering software

Some travel to client sites for investigations and meetings
