Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Discipline Civil Engineer with expertise in site development, stormwater management, utility design, and earthwork/grading design. You will lead projects, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and drive business development to expand client relationships.

The role requires a PE license (WA) or the ability to obtain one, 15+ years of site development experience, and strong communication skills to manage clients and teams effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with local and State agencies/engineering community is a plus.

We are seeking a Senior Discipline Civil Engineer with expertise in site development, stormwater management, utility design, and earthwork/grading design. Key skills include project management, multidisciplinary coordination, and business development. Experience with local, state, or federal permitting and compliance is highly valuable.

In this role, you will lead projects as the main point of contact with clients, be a project manager and team lead, be a technical and business mentor to junior staff, and integrate into a larger team of site design engineers, water/wastewater civil engineers, and land surveyors. This position includes business development in preparing proposals and actively cross-selling our multidiscipline services to a diverse client base. You will help grow and mentor a collaborative team, market our capabilities, and deliver high-quality engineering and consulting solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure required with ability to be licensed in Washington State
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in site development.
• Experience collaborating with local and State agency/engineering community is a plus.
• Experience designing site development plans for permitting, bid, and construction.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; and preparation of site or public improvement grading, stormwater management, and utility plans required.
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Strong project management, mentoring, and business development skills.
• Client management skills experience.
• Salary range: $145,000-$170,000
