Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer (4+ years) to join our Spokane team. You will apply engineering expertise to challenging site development projects across multiple markets and collaborate with a multidiscipline engineering team.

The role requires an ABET-accredited degree, EIT with PE licensure preferred (Washington), and 4+ years of site development experience, with strong writing and communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• E.I.T. registration required; PE licensure preferred with ability to be licensed in Washington State.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in site development.
• Experience with site engineering concepts: conceptual plans, construction plans, collaboration with other engineers and architects, site visits, and design support.
• Site plan, grading and drainage, stormwater, water/sewer utility plans, accessibility, and related improvements design skills.
• Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
• Desire to work in a collaborative team and grow professionally.
• Excellent time management skills.

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Civil Engineer (4+ years) to join our team in applying engineering skills to challenging projects across multiple markets. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) required, Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure preferred with the ability to be licensed in Washington State and to practice civil engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in site development.
• Experience and/or interest in general site engineering include: creating conceptual plans, preparing construction plans, working with junior and senior civil engineers, collaborating with other engineering disciplines and architects, visiting construction sites, and providing technical assistance during design and construction.
• Design skills for preparing site plans, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management design, water and sanitary sewer utility plans, pedestrian accessibility, and other associated improvements.
• Effective technical writing and communication skills
• A desire to work with a collaborative team and to grow professionally.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Expected annual salary range depending on experience: $93,000-$115,000
