Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Civil Design Technician for our Stuart, Florida office with 6+ years of experience. You will develop technical drawings, manage drafting standards, and perform quality checks on complex plans.

The role includes mentoring CAD staff and coordinating work to meet schedules and quality controls. Ideal candidates have advanced Autodesk or Bentley proficiency and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; perform multifaceted calculations.
• Mentor and supervise CAD staff.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
