Job summary

Bohler’s Towson, MD office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer who will lead site design, grading, utilities, and permitting for high-profile projects across Towson. You’ll collaborate with engineers and project leaders to ensure design quality, constructability, and compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, shape project delivery, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology and stormwater calculations using engineering software.
• Assist in project budgeting and workload planning.

About The Role

Bohler’s Towson, MD office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer who’s ready to take the next step in technical leadership. In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in all aspects of site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting, while helping ensure design quality, constructability, and compliance. You’ll serve as a trusted technical resource for your team and contribute to the success of complex, high-profile projects across the Towson, MD area.

What You’ll Do

• Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.
