Job summary

Bohler in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design efforts across complex land developments. You will guide grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting, while ensuring design quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance.

You will serve as a technical resource for the team, collaborating with engineers and designers, and contributing to high-profile projects in the Tampa Bay market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
