Job summary

Bohler in Red Bank, NJ seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design efforts, manage grading, drainage, and utilities, and ensure permitting compliance across Jersey Shore projects.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and project leaders, review designs, mentor junior staff, and contribute to budgeting and planning while advancing technical leadership in a collaborative, growth‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.

In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in all aspects of site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting, while helping ensure design quality, constructability, and compliance. You’ll serve as a trusted technical resource for your team and contribute to the success of complex, high-profile projects across the Jersey Shore.

Pay Transparency

Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.

The base pay range for this role is $85,000 – $105,000 per year.
