Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil projects such as highways, bridges, and major roadworks. You will supervise field foremen and coordinate with engineers to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

This role offers a strong compensation package with a base salary range of $140,000 to $190,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a superintendent on heavy highway, road, or bridge construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret heavy civil construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing medium to large projects ($10M+).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Supervise heavy highway, road, and bridge construction projects to ensure compliance with project specs.
• Schedule and direct work crews and foremen to meet production goals.
• Prepare work plans, hazard analyses, and safety assessments for assigned activities.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivity standards.
• Manage and track project costs and resources, including equipment and subcontractors.
• Perform daily inspections and resolve field issues.
• Support quality control efforts and ensure design/ performance adherence.
• Continuously improve processes for productivity, safety, and quality.
