The Ruhlin Company seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead civil projects in Northeast Ohio and Columbus, ensuring field operations meet drawings, specs, and schedule. You will direct field crews, oversee subcontractors, manage safety, quality, and daily progress reporting.

With a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least four years of supervisory experience, you will coordinate resources, monitor costs, and drive on-time project delivery while mentoring project staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, or construction management.
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours (evenings, overnight, weekends).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and HCSS.

Responsabilités

• Direct field construction activities and coordinate the efforts of project staff and subcontractors.
• Create daily job reports and monitor progress against schedule.
• Provide input to cost and schedule forecasts; verify work progress; manage punch lists.
• Recognize changed conditions and notify the appropriate person.
• Plan and supervise activities including methods, sequencing, staffing, and materials.
• Participate in negotiation of claims and changes.
• Serve as liaison to ensure work complies with drawings, specs, and schedule.
• Maintain a harassment-free work environment and promote safety.
