Shirley Contracting Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead diverse construction projects in the Greater Richmond area. You will plan, schedule, and supervise activities, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met while coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

The role emphasizes safety, strong communication, and leadership of a talented team; a bachelor's degree is preferred, and a high school diploma is acceptable. Competitive salary and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A team player with leadership abilities.
• Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise and coordinate all aspects of a wide range of construction projects to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to schedule and budget details.
• Supervise a team of Engineers, Interns, and other members of the team and provide guidance as needed.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.
