Job summary

Clearfield City is seeking a Senior Planner to lead development and implementation of comprehensive current and long-range planning documents for the city. The role directs daily planning and zoning operations and coordinates with the Community Development Director, City Council, and other departments.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in urban planning or related field, seven years of progressive planning experience, and preferably AICP certification; Utah driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, business administration, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in planning.
• AICP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee division decision-making processes; develop, implement, evaluate, and revise division policies and procedures; liaise with city council and planning commission.
• Prepare Planning Commission agendas, staff reports, and presentations; serve as staff liaison to the Planning Commission and City Council.
• Lead long-range planning activities, updates to General Plan, land use regulations, and design standards; coordinate with other departments and external agencies.
