Qualifications
- Graduation from ABA-accredited law school and active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
- Twelve (12) full years of active practice for Assistant City Attorney IV or eighteen (18) full years for Assistant City Attorney V.
Responsibilities
- Legal Advice: provide advanced level legal advice to elected officials and senior management on complex issues; may assist other attorneys.
- Legal Research: perform research on complex legal issues with high political/financial impact; may assist other attorneys.
- Legal Writing: prepare legal documents on complex matters; may assist other attorneys.
- Legal Advocacy: act as lead representative in complex internal/external matters with political/financial impact; may assist other attorneys.
