Job summary

GCyber is seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize robust Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops solutions in both on‑premise and cloud environments (Azure/AWS) for a government customer.

You will lead SME-level Citrix engineering across Cloud, NetScaler ADC, StoreFront, and WEM, while driving automation with PowerShell and advancing security hardening in line with DISA requirements.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with 10+ years of Citrix engineering and administration experience.
• IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
• Demonstrated scripting and automation expertise with PowerShell.
• Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy in virtualized environments.
• Proven experience with performance tuning and optimization tools for virtualized environments.
• Prior experience engineering solutions for DISA and mission partners is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on the Citrix stack, including Citrix Cloud, ADC, StoreFront, and WEM.
• Engineer and automate infrastructure management and deployment processes using PowerShell.
• Lead integration of security controls and compliance (DoD/DISA) into Citrix architecture; perform vulnerability assessments and hardening on Citrix ADC.
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering docs, runbooks, and DR plans.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize Citrix infrastructure for performance, capacity, and latency; perform root cause analysis.
• Lead critical infrastructure projects including platform upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud service integration.
• Design and implement user profile and data management strategies using ProfileUnity and User Layering.
• Familiarity with Citrix and Liquidware integration.

GCyber is seeking a Senior Citrix Engineer, to help support our government customer. The Senior Citrix Engineer designs and deploy robust, scalable, and highly available Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) solutions, both on-premise and in cloud environments (Azure/AWS).

As the Senior Citrix Engineer, you will:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on the entire Citrix stack, engineering solutions for Citrix Cloud, ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront, and Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
• Engineer and automate infrastructure management, deployment, and configuration processes using PowerShell to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Lead the integration of security controls and compliance standards (DoD/DISA) into the Citrix architecture, performing vulnerability assessments and implementing hardening configurations on Citrix ADC.
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including system architecture diagrams, deployment runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.
• Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance, capacity, and latency of the Citrix infrastructure, performing root cause analysis and engineering long-term solutions for complex issues.
• Lead critical infrastructure projects, including platform upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud service integration, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance.
• Design and implement user profile and data management strategies using ProfileUnity, Profile Management, and User Layering to optimize user experience and logon times.
• Familiarity with Citrix and Liquidware integration.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of experience engineering and administering enterprise-scale Citrix environments. (Additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).
• IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
• Demonstrated expertise in scripting and automation with PowerShell.
• Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy management in a virtualized environment.
• Proven experience with performance tuning and optimization tools for virtualized environments, preferred.
• Prior experience engineering solutions for DISA and its mission partners, preferred.
