Job summary

Visiting Angels Beaumont is seeking a dedicated Senior Citizen Provider to support seniors in the Golden Triangle area. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes.

We offer opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and flexible shifts, with same day pay options to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver's license
• Valid auto insurance and reliable transportation
• Strong ethics and compassionate demeanor
• Excellent emergency response and first aid knowledge
• Respectful and patient with seniors

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication management and reminders

Senior Citizen Provider Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Senior Citizen Provider Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
