Visiting Angels Baytown is seeking a Weekend Caregiver to support seniors in the Southeast Houston area. This role emphasizes companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and mobility assistance to help clients stay safe and independent at home.

We provide ongoing training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, flexible weekend shifts, weekly and daily pay options, and a supportive team that values compassion, reliability, and community involvement as you grow your caregiving skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.

• Do light housekeeping as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Report incidents promptly.

Weekend Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
