Job summary

Visiting Angels Beaumont is seeking a Certified Nurses Assistant to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors in the Golden Triangle area of Southeast Texas, including Port Arthur and nearby communities. You will assist with daily routines, personal care, meals, mobility, and companionship.

We offer on-the-job training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care, growth opportunities, and flexible shifts with Full Time, Part Time, and PRN options. Hours are not guaranteed; same-day pay may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Strong ethics, compassion and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Certified Nurses Assistant Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Certified Nurses Assistant Requirements
