Job summary

CA CI is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to provide on-site support for the Civil Rights Division in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes Cisco-based enterprise networks, security controls, and multi-site operations.

Candidates should have 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The position requires up to 10% travel and is full-time, on-site in Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or experience in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of relevant network engineering experience.
• Proven success delivering enterprise network solutions for large environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, maintenance, and operational support of enterprise-scale networks leveraging Cisco routers, switches, and firewall platforms.
• Analyze system and network requirements for large, complex litigation support environments.
• Architect comprehensive hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions aligned with mission objectives.
• Design, integrate, and deploy end-to-end network solutions from procurement to testing and troubleshooting.
• Research, design, and implement innovative technical solutions to meet evolving needs.
• Develop user training, configuration documentation, and detailed procedures.
• Establish security controls including firewall configurations and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Define and maintain standards, protocols, and best practices for network operations and lifecycle management.
• Monitor network performance and uptime across multiple sites.
