Job summary

Annapurna Labs Ltd. in Illinois is seeking a Senior Chip Design Engineer to own critical IP blocks, guide micro-architecture, and drive RTL design through tape-out at scale for AWS Nitro-powered silicon.

You will work with Verification, Emulation, Product Definition, Software, and Physical Design teams to deliver a production-ready chip. The role requires hands-on RTL and micro-architecture expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration skills to ship silicon powering AWS infrastructure

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in chip design.
• Micro-architecture and RTL design experience (Verilog / SystemVerilog).
• Scripting in C*, Perl, Python, or TCL.
• BSc in Computer/Electrical Engineering.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong leadership and ownership of complex units.
• Knowledge of protocols (AXI, CHI, DDR, PCIe).
• Experience with Network-on-Chip (NoC) architecture.
• Familiarity with coherent/non-coherent fabric design.
• SoC development lifecycle: Synthesis, STA, CDC, Lint.
• Knowledge of Design Automation tools and techniques.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of one or more IPs within the product.
• Micro-architecture definition.
• RTL coding and debug.
• Synthesis and timing closure.
• Sign-off before tape-out.
• Supporting the Verification and Emulation teams: Test plan development, coverage review.
• Ensuring the chip meets quality and reliability standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Product Definition, Verification, Software, and Physical Design.
