Job summary

Custom Mechanical Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced Chiller Service Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on industrial HVAC systems across the Pacific Northwest.

The ideal candidate will be customer‑service oriented and collaborate with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and clients to resolve issues and ensure reliability. Requirements include a high school diploma, HVAC and OSHA 10 certifications, Multistack/Airstack knowledge, and at least 5 years of commercial

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 certification required.
• Multistack/Airstack knowledge required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an HVACR service technician in a commercial environment.
• Startup experience with various brands of HVAC equipment preferred.
• Chiller and cooling tower experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency using handheld devices.
• Strong electrical knowledge required; EPA Universal Certification and/or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units, valves and VAV systems.
• Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects involving electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; manage parts and calibration per manufacturer specs.
• Oversee installation and operation of various mechanical systems.
• Lead efforts to define and develop training, materials, and tools for chiller/HVAC maintenance.
• Be available for some nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergencies.
• Maintain company vehicle, stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment; report issues.
• Document all services with make, model, serial numbers, tests, and pictures.
• Provide timely paperwork and communication to dispatch, supply, and management.
• Identify potential business opportunities via site visits and cost estimates.
• Keep stakeholders informed on work progress and scheduling with customers.
• Coordinate scheduling of services with customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
