Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Children’s Occupational Therapist to join an integrated health and social care team. The role focuses on providing high-quality OT care to children and families, and will be co-located with the community team at Regent Point.

The post will involve working within the Children’s Community Occupational Therapy Service, coordinating with wider therapy teams and local trust services to deliver holistic support for equipment and home

Qualifications

• In-depth OT clinical knowledge for medical/neurological conditions.
• Understanding of OT process within acute and community settings.
• Knowledge of health and social care policy, risk assessment and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard OT care to non-complex, complex and highly complex patients.
• Advanced OT as clinical lead for the OT service within specialty.
• Collaborate with secondary and primary care across the region.
• Support equipment and home adaptations within legislative frameworks.
