Placements24 is seeking an experienced Childcare Centre Supervisor for a reputable centre in Welkom, Free State. The role focuses on leading daily operations, managing staff, and developing high-quality educational programs that support young learners and families.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Management, at least five years in childcare with two in supervision, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Management.
• Minimum 5 years in a childcare setting, with at least 2 years in supervisory/management role.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the childcare centre, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of educators and assistants.
• Develop and implement high-quality educational programs aligned with best practices.
• Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Maintain open communication with parents and foster partnerships.
• Manage centre resources, including budget, supplies, and facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement improvement plans.
