Job summary

The Obama Foundation is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President of Programs. You will partner with the EVP to ensure strategic and administrative excellence across the Programs department, reporting to the EVP and collaborating with leaders across the organization.

This hybrid role is based at the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park, Chicago. The salary range is $87,020 to $108,775, with benefits including insurance, PTO, and retirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in executive administration or operations.
• Strategic judgment aligning short-term actions with long-term goals.
• Project management: design and implement effective processes.
• Proactive communication and collaboration to meet deadlines.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills in fast-paced environment.
• Motivated by exceptional customer service; anticipates needs and solves problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain EVP materials and decision-making tracking; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Prepare agendas, bios, talking points, and briefing materials for meetings.
• Lead department-wide communications and staff updates.
• Coordinate external speaking requests with Marketing & Communications.
• Oversee EVP contracts, travel, and program support services.
• Ensure data management entries for external communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
