Job summary

The Obama Foundation is seeking a Chief of Staff in the Office of the EVP of Programs to align the EVP’s time with Program goals. The COS will partner with the VP of Program Operations and be a key member of the Program Operations Leadership table.

This hybrid role based at the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park requires 5+ years in executive administration, strong project management, and exceptional communication to support the EVP and Programs staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in executive administration or operations; nonprofit/government experience preferred but not required.
• Strategic judgment and ability to connect short-term execution to long-term goals.
• Project management experience; plan and execute short- and long-term projects.
• Proactive communication and collaboration to meet deadlines.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills in fast-paced settings.
• Customer-service oriented; proactive and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Support EVP decision-making and manage memos/forms; coordinate with Ops.
• Prepare meetings with agendas, bios, briefs; track next steps.
• Support EVP communications across Programs staff; design processes.
• Organize external speaking requests with Marketing/Communications.
• Coordinate administrative support, contracts, tickets, and inquiries.
• Ensure external communications are logged in data systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
