Job summary

Long Wall Company in Long Beach seeks a Program Chief Engineer for RSX to own the technical baseline and verification strategy across interceptor products. You will lead systems engineering, mission assurance, and project management to deliver flight-ready solutions while maintaining rigorous risk and configuration controls.

The role requires 12+ years in aerospace or defense system development, strong leadership, and experience with government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive aerospace or defense system development experience preferred.
• Proven ability to define requirements, architecture, ICDs, verification plans, and configuration control.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for the RSX product, owning architecture, requirements, baseline, and verification strategy.
• Define and maintain the system’s technical configuration and design change processes.
• Lead technical decisions across propulsion, avionics, structures, mechanisms, GNC, software, and manufacturing.
• Coordinate with systems engineering to maintain requirements traceability, ICDs, architecture, and verification planning.
• Partner with mission assurance to evaluate reliability, safety, and readiness.
• Mentor discipline leads and grow Long Wall’s technical foundations.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure artifacts are complete, defensible, and configuration controlled.
• Represent RSX status to executive leadership, external stakeholders, and government customers.
