Job summary

Long Wall Company seeks a Program Chief Engineer for RSX to own the technical baseline, architecture, requirements, and verification strategy of interceptor products. You will integrate systems engineering, mission assurance, and project management into a cohesive technical execution plan.

Responsibilities include leading architecture reviews, managing configuration, and guiding cross-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure readiness and mission success.

Qualifications

• Deep technical fluency across aerospace subsystems.
• Proven ability to define requirements, architecture, ICDs, verification plans, and configuration control.
• Strong analytical foundation to challenge designs and assumptions.
• Experience leading technical teams through ambiguity and rapid development cycles.
• Excellent communication skills for briefing leadership and government customers.
• Knowledge of reliability, safety, and mission assurance principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for the RSX product, owning architecture, requirements, baseline, and verification strategy.
• Define and maintain system configuration and ensure design changes follow disciplined evaluation.
• Lead technical decisions across propulsion, avionics, structures, mechanisms, GNC, software, and manufacturing.
• Coordinate with systems engineering to maintain requirements traceability and verification planning.
• Partner with mission assurance to evaluate reliability and readiness.
• Mentor engineering leads and grow Long Wall’s technical foundations.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure artifacts are complete and defensible.
• Guide cross-discipline teams to stay aligned with the technical baseline.
• Resolve cross-functional issues and maintain system coherence during development.
• Represent technical state to executives, stakeholders, and government customers.
• Support expansion of chief engineering into a fully staffed authority function.
