Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida in Gainesville seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead all engineering, maintenance, and facility operations for our luxury hotel. You will manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and preventive maintenance programs while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

As a visible leader, you will drive operational excellence, mentor the engineering team, and ensure safety, compliance, and reliability across all assets

Qualifications

• Progressive engineering, facilities maintenance, or building operations experience in applicable environments.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, restaurants, fitness facilities, grounds, and back-of-house operations.
• Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and life safety systems.
• Conduct routine property inspections to ensure safety, functionality, appearance, and compliance standards.
• Respond to operational issues and emergency situations as needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team through training, performance management, and professional development.
