Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for the Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida in Gainesville. You will maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to help deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This hands-on role requires carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or resort maintenance role.
• Knowledge of household repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
• Engaging, welcoming personality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Available to work weekends, overnights and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures and motors.
• Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains and sanitary systems.
• Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and window, carpeting, etc.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintains logs on completed tasks. Prepares reports as requested by supervisors. Submits all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.
