Job summary

Regent PM in Austin, TX is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all building mechanical and operation systems for a portfolio of commercial office space. The role includes hands-on maintenance leadership, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with safety and client requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years as a Lead Engineer or higher, with high-rise experience, and certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or related trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred.
• Minimum four years of related experience or trade school training.
• Lead Engineer experience (5+ years) with high-rise exposure preferred.
• Certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC or related trades are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings and systems, hands-on and supervisory.
• Direct maintenance team and oversee outside contractors (landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC and plumbing to ensure operation per design and client specs.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain energy management programs to optimize operating costs.
• Oversee building lighting system maintenance and related tasks.
