Worth Ross Management Company (WRMC) seeks a hands-on Chief Building Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance operations of a luxury high-rise community in Downtown Austin. You will ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations while reporting to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of engineering or building operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency.
• Experience with high-rise buildings and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and engineering operations of all building systems.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Supervise, train, and support the maintenance team.
• Coordinate inspections, repairs, and contracted services with vendors.
• Monitor utilities and provide cost analysis and energy recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with City, County, State, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain safety systems, fire pumps, life safety equipment, and emergency systems.
• Document maintenance requests, inspections, and completed work.
• Support sustainability initiatives and green certifications.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
