Job summary

The State of Hawai'i is hiring for a chemist position (Recruitment Number 25-0372) in the Department of Law Enforcement, Kalihi, and the Department of Health, Pearl City, on a temporary full-time basis. Salary ranges from $5,527 to $6,728 per month.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science with at least 30 semester credit hours in chemistry, including organic, inorganic, analytical and/or physical chemistry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or closely related science with at least 30 semester credit hours in chemistry courses including organic, inorganic, analytical and/or physical chemistry.
• Two years of professional work experience applying chemistry principles to predict results or interpret research; at least one year at the level of Chemist III.
• Some positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Relevant substitutions described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.
