Job summary

Amrize in Waukesha, WI, is seeking a Research & Development Sr Chemist/Chemist to lead development and manufacturing of high-performance liquid-applied coatings. You will partner with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to optimize formulations and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, scale-up, troubleshooting, and supplier qualification, with opportunities to drive continuous improvement and support product certifications, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of coatings formulation and manufacturing processes.
• Experience performing ASTM test methods and interpreting data.
• Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing trials and scale-ups.
• Experience conducting root-cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with industry codes, regulatory requirements, and product certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and recommend corrective actions to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for existing formulations and processes.
• Evaluate and qualify alternative raw materials to maintain performance and supply chain continuity.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations to develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Plan and support laboratory, pilot, and production-scale manufacturing trials.
