Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Burnet, TX seeks a Senior Chemist for Analytics & Metrology, Wet Lab. Lead routine analysis of semiconductor chemicals, review results, ensure timely release, and monitor trends to prevent production issues.

Requirements include 7+ years in analytical labs, expertise in chromatographic techniques and spectroscopy, and experience with high-purity/semi-conductor materials. May require evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 7+ years of analytical laboratory experience, including significant time in a production or QC environment.
• Strong expertise in chromatographic techniques (IC, LC, GC) and molecular spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman, NIR).
• Experience with high-purity or semiconductor-grade chemicals and supporting high-throughput lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee routine analysis of semiconductor chemicals using established methods.
• Review and approve analytical results to ensure accuracy and conformance with product specs.
• Ensure timely release of materials by meeting turnaround times for production testing.
• Monitor analytical results for trends indicating process or contamination issues.
• Maintain measurement system capability (precision, accuracy, repeatability).
• Apply SPC, control charts, and trending to monitor method/instrument performance.
• Investigate out-of-control conditions, excursions, and anomalous data.
• Support MSA activities and ensure methods remain fit-for-purpose.
• Serve as technical expert for production instrumentation (IC, HPLC, GC, Raman, FTIR, XRF).
• Perform advanced troubleshooting to maximize uptime, sensitivity, and stability.
• Ensure calibration, system suitability, and preventive maintenance are documented.
