Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Chemical Inspector to inspect and evaluate industrial chemical products used by the Authority, including fuels, lubricants, greases, antifreeze, coolants, biofuels, and cleaning agents. This role requires chemistry knowledge, laboratory testing experience, and familiarity with ASTM and environmental requirements.

You will review Certificates of Analysis, collect samples when needed, evaluate results against ASTM criteria, and make acceptance or rejection

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in chemistry is required.
At least five years' experience inspecting/testing industrial chemical products.
Experience with fuels, lubricants, greases, antifreeze, engine coolant, biofuels or similar chemicals.
Familiar with ASTM and other physical/chemical test methods.
Knowledge of EO 134 environmental impact of cleaning materials (New York).

Responsibilities

Review vendor Certificates of Analysis and laboratory test results.
Collect, package, and ship chemical samples when required.
Evaluate test results against ASTM criteria, Authority specifications, and inspection records.
Make acceptance or rejection recommendations based on test results and applicable requirements.
Notify the Authority of any changes to raw materials or manufacturing processes.
Prepare inspection documentation and support quality assurance decisions.
