Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in chemistry required.
• Minimum of five years inspecting or testing industrial chemical products.
• Experience with fuels, lubricants, greases, antifreeze, coolants, biofuels or similar chemicals.
• Familiarity with ASTM and related physical/chemical test methods.
• Knowledge of environmental impact of cleaning materials per EO #134.
• Experience with test procedures, tolerances, equipment, and inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor Certificates of Analysis and lab results.
• Collect, package, and ship chemical samples as required.
• Evaluate test results against ASTM criteria, Authority specs, and records.
• Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on results and requirements.
• Use statistical methods to determine testing frequency and review materials.
• Notify Authority of changes to raw materials or manufacturing processes.
• Prepare inspection documentation to support QA decisions.
