Placements24 is assisting a client in recruiting a Senior Chemical Engineer for a fully remote role in a distributed engineering team. Based remotely, you will lead the design, analysis and optimization of advanced chemical processes from your home office, guiding major projects and mentoring junior engineers.

You will perform process simulations, conduct hazard analyses (HAZOP) and risk assessments, and ensure robust process safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in chemical process design and engineering.
• Expertise in process simulation software and process safety management (PSM).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead technical teams remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of new chemical plants and process modifications.
• Perform rigorous process simulations, hazard analyses (HAZOP), and risk assessments.
• Optimize existing processes for improved efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental performance.
• Develop technical specifications for equipment procurement and installation.
