Job summary

Hendrick Motorsports in Charlotte, NC seeks a seasoned chassis fabricator with expertise in welding fixtures, alignment, and distortion control to ensure precise component location, repeatable weld quality, and reliable race-ready assemblies.

You will fabricate complex assemblies from technical blueprints, use modular hole-grid fixtures, CMM data, and lead junior fabricators while complying with ITAR and safety standards to uphold peak performance.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in senior welding/fabrication roles in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols with GD&T.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG and flux-core welding processes.
• Deep knowledge of fixturing, clamping, and setup ergonomics.
• Capable of supervising junior fabricators and maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and align fixtures to master datums for repeatable runs.
• Fabricate complex assemblies from technical blueprints.
• Use CMM data and fixtures to locate parts precisely.
• Implement distortion control and manage heat during welding.
• Inspect weldments against references and lead others.
