Hendrick Technical Solutions in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a highly skilled chassis fabricator to join our team. The role focuses on welding fixtures, precise component alignment, and distortion-controlled fabrication per tight blueprints.

The candidate will lead fabrication efforts, set up specialized fixtures, and ensure repeatable accuracy across production runs, working on MIG/TIG projects and related tooling. A strong background in manufacturing-level weldments is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of senior manufacturing fabrication experience.
• Mastery of blueprint reading, GD&T, and weld symbols.
• Deep knowledge of fixturing mechanics and clamping systems.
• Understanding of thermal expansion and structural restraint.
• Ability to weld in flat, vertical and overhead positions; MIG, TIG, and tack welding.
• Flexible schedule; ITAR compliance: US citizen, PR, or US Person status.

Responsibilities

• Fixture setup, alignment and locking to master datums.
• Position components with CMM Arm using pins, blocks and locators.
• Control distortion with clamping to prevent warp.
• Perform high-quality welds on various metals per blueprints.
• Inspect weldments against master references for conformance.
• Provide leadership to level I and II fabricators.
