Senior Change Manager - Facilitation (Pharmaceutical Construction)

Turner & Townsend are seeking an ambitious construction Senior Change Manager to join our growing Life Science team. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional with expertise in managing project, cost, contractual, and scheduling changes on active construction projects and/or programs. The incumbent will ensure construction changes are identified, documented, evaluated, and resolved efficiently, minimizing disruptions and project risks.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement construction change management frameworks and strategies tailored to the specific requirements of the sector's construction projects. Define and document change management processes, including approval workflows, roles, and responsibilities, from the owner’s perspective.
  2. Coordinate the submission, review, and approval of change requests across all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and owner oversight. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies during the change process.
  3. Analyze the impact of proposed changes on project scope, cost, schedule, site conditions, and resources from the owner’s perspective. Conduct detailed impact analyses, identifying risks, benefits, and trade-offs critical to owner decision-making.
  4. Identify risks associated with changes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize negative impacts on project objectives. Collaborate with project managers, cost managers, schedulers, and contractors to assess and mitigate risks, prioritizing owner interests.
  5. Facilitate communication between the owner, contractors, and internal teams to ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned. Address resistance proactively by engaging stakeholders and providing solutions aligned with owner priorities.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all change management activities, including a comprehensive change log for tracking requests and enabling clear reporting to the owner.
  7. Prepare and deliver change management reports to owner leadership, providing data-driven recommendations regarding change approvals, modifications, or rejections.
  8. Monitor the implementation of approved changes, ensuring compliance with owner’s goals and project standards.
  9. Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change management activities, ensuring alignment with owner priorities. Continuously evaluate and improve the change management process based on industry best practices and owner feedback.
  10. Develop and manage documentation to support audits and lessons learned initiatives. Produce lessons learned reports to highlight successful practices and areas for improvement.
  11. Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience managing scope changes on active construction projects.
  • Ability to communicate financial status and schedule details clearly.
  • Experience with project management, cost control, and scheduling software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills in a collaborative environment.
