Job summary

Kearney & Company is seeking a Senior Staff professional to oversee CFO Act compliance and financial improvement initiatives for DoW programs in Washington, DC. You will lead crossfunctional efforts across acquisition, logistics, and financial reporting with a focus on audit readiness and strong internal controls.

The role requires deep GAAP/FIAR knowledge, and the ability to mentor staff, coordinate across departments, and travel as needed. Onsite presence in Washington, DC is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accounting-related field or 5 additional years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with DoW financial statements.
• Minimum 4 years of leading projects supporting CFO Act compliance across acquisition, logistics, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior oversight of the Audit Readiness program.
• Document business process internal controls.
• Conduct substantive and analytical procedures for financial improvement.
• Support logistics-related financial audit activities.
• Lead asset accountability implementation and strategies.
• Oversee asset valuation, tracking, and documentation.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and QA for team members.
• Compile information for senior leaders and extract budget/program data.
