The FDIC is seeking a Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR) examiner to review risks in large financial institutions including insured banks and bank holding companies. The position requires specialized experience in financial risk analysis and reporting, with duty location determined upon selection.

This position is located in the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR), of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for reviewing risks related to large financial institutions, which include insured banks, bank holding companies, and other systemically important non-bank financial institutions in the CISR supervisory portfolio.
The duty location is determined upon selection.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-15: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 14 grade level or above in the Federal service, analyzing financial risks and controls; developing written reports and communicating findings for financial institutions; experience must include work experience in three or more of following areas: credit risk, trading, foreign exposures, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, earnings performance issues, capital adequacy, and operational risk.
